Cookie Policy

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by the websites you visit. They let a site remember your actions and preferences over time, such as your language, your display settings, and whether you have already seen a message. Similar technologies — local storage, pixels, and software development kits — do comparable jobs, and this policy covers them together with cookies.

Cookies are not programs. They cannot run code on your device, and they cannot read other files.

The categories we use

Strictly necessary

These keep the site working and cannot be switched off. They cover things like remembering your consent choices, keeping a form submission intact, and basic security. They do not track you between sites, and there is no lawful basis to turn them off because the site cannot function without them.

Analytics

These tell us which calculators people use, which pages they arrive on, and where they leave. We use Google Analytics 4 when a measurement ID is configured. The data is aggregated, and we use it to decide what to improve rather than to identify individuals. You can decline these, and the site works exactly the same.

Advertising

CalculatorBest is free to use and funded by advertising. When advertising cookies are enabled, Google and its partners may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site and other sites, and to measure how those ads perform. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to this site or other sites on the internet.

You can opt out of personalised advertising at any time through Google Ads Settings, or opt out of third-party vendor cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info and youronlinechoices.eu. Declining advertising cookies does not remove ads; it means the ads you see are not personalised.

Third parties that may set cookies

  • Google Analytics — aggregated usage measurement.
  • Google AdSense — advertising delivery and measurement.

Each of these providers has its own privacy policy, and we do not control the cookies they set when you consent to them.

Your choices

On your first visit we ask you to choose which non-essential categories you accept. Nothing beyond strictly necessary cookies is set until you make a choice. You can change your mind at any time using the cookie preferences link in the footer, and you can also clear or block cookies in your browser settings.

Your rights under GDPR and UK GDPR. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you have the right to access, correct, and erase personal data we hold, to object to or restrict processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. Because consent is the basis for analytics and advertising cookies, withdrawing it is as easy as giving it.

Your rights under CCPA and CPRA. If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information is collected, to request its deletion, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell personal information for money. Using the advertising cookies described above may count as "sharing" for cross-context behavioural advertising under the CPRA, and you can opt out by declining advertising cookies.

Calculations and your inputs

The numbers you type into a calculator are sent to our server to be computed and are not stored against your identity. We do not build profiles from calculator inputs, and we do not sell them.

Changes to this policy

If we change which cookies we use we will update this page and, where the change is significant, ask you to review your preferences again. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
